Possible Causes
Worn cutting motor bearings, Damaged drive wheel gearbox, Loose blade disc or mounting hardware
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the mower and wait for blades to stop. Wear gloves when handling the cutting system.
- Isolate noise source: Run the mower briefly while stationary (if safe) and listen whether the noise comes from the blade area or the wheels.
- Inspect cutting disc: With power OFF, tilt the mower and check that the blade disc is tight on its shaft. Tighten mounting bolts to Yarbo specifications if loose.
- Check blades: Replace chipped or bent blades that may cause rattling or imbalance.
- Inspect wheel gearboxes: Manually roll the mower and listen for grinding from the drive wheels. A loud grinding or clicking suggests a worn gearbox that should be replaced.
