Possible Causes

Battery management system (BMS) fault inside battery pack, Communication line between battery and main PCB open, Incorrect or non‑original battery pack installed, Corroded low‑voltage connector pins

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Power OFF the mower and remove the battery before inspection.

Steps:

  • 1. Confirm genuine battery: Ensure the installed battery is a Yard Force‑approved pack with the correct voltage and connector. Non‑original packs may not communicate correctly.
  • 2. Inspect connectors: Check both the battery plug and the mating connector in the mower. Clean gently with contact cleaner and a soft brush if corroded.
  • 3. Reseat battery: Reinstall the battery firmly, ensuring no wires are pinched. Turn the mower ON and see if E10 clears.
  • 4. Try another battery: If available, test with a known‑good Yard Force battery pack. If E10 disappears, the original battery's BMS is faulty.
  • 5. Replace battery pack: Install a new OEM battery if the BMS is suspected defective. Do not attempt to open or repair the battery pack.

If E10 persists with a good battery, the main PCB communication circuit may be damaged and should be replaced by a service center.
