Possible Causes
Internal temperature above safe limit, Faulty temperature sensor on PCB or battery, Blocked ventilation, Mower stored in direct sun while charging
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not operate or charge the mower if it feels excessively hot.
Steps:
- 1. Move to shade: Relocate the charging station to a shaded area. Allow the mower to cool to room temperature.
- 2. Check ventilation: Ensure vents on the mower housing are not blocked by dirt or grass.
- 3. Inspect sensor: Open the mower and locate the temperature sensor (often on the PCB or attached to the battery). Check for dislodged or damaged sensors.
- 4. Environmental limits: Confirm you are operating within the temperature range specified by Yard Force (typically 0–40°C).
- 5. Replace sensor: If E17 appears even at normal temperatures, replace the temperature sensor or the PCB section that includes it.
