Possible Causes
Mower partially over a step or retaining wall, Faulty front lift sensor, Debris preventing sensor from resetting, Loose sensor bracket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower before moving it from edges or steps.
Steps:
- 1. Relocate mower: Move the mower to a flat, safe area away from edges. Restart and see if E18 clears.
- 2. Adjust boundary wire: Ensure the boundary wire is installed at the recommended distance from drops or ponds so the mower cannot hang over the edge.
- 3. Clean sensor area: Inspect the front underside for packed grass or stones around the lift/drop sensor. Clean thoroughly.
- 4. Check sensor mounting: Verify that the sensor bracket is secure and not bent.
- 5. Replace sensor: If the sensor continues to report a drop on level ground, replace the front lift/drop sensor assembly.
