Possible Causes

Cutting disc jammed by branch, stone, or thick grass, Overgrown lawn exceeding mower capacity, Worn or bent blades causing imbalance, Faulty blade motor or seized bearings

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the main power switch and remove the battery connector. Wait until all moving parts have stopped. Wear gloves when handling blades.

Unblocking and inspection:

  • 1. Turn mower upside down: Support it securely to avoid tipping. Do not rest weight on the blade disc.
  • 2. Remove debris: Clear any branches, stones, or rope/string wrapped around the blade disc or motor shaft. Use pliers if needed.
  • 3. Check blade condition: Inspect Yard Force replacement blades for cracks, bends, or excessive wear. Replace as a set if damaged. Ensure blades pivot freely on their screws (for pivoting blade models).
  • 4. Spin disc by hand: The cutting disc should rotate smoothly with slight resistance. If it feels rough or seized, the blade motor bearings may be failing.
  • 5. Reduce grass height: If the lawn is very long, pre‑cut with a conventional mower to a manageable height, then resume robotic mowing.
  • 6. Electrical check: If E6 appears immediately on start with no mechanical blockage, the blade motor may be shorted or the motor driver on the main PCB may be faulty. Test motor resistance with a multimeter and compare to spec.
  • 7. Replace blade motor: If the motor is noisy, overheats, or tests open/short, replace the blade motor assembly with the correct Yard Force part.
