Possible Causes
Disconnected or flat battery, Faulty battery pack, Defective main power switch, Blown internal fuse on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the mower from the charging station before opening any covers.
Steps:
- 1. Check charging station: Verify the station LED is on and the power supply is plugged in and warm to the touch (slightly). If not, test the outlet and replace the power supply if dead.
- 2. Try forced charge: Place the mower in the station and leave it for several hours. Some Yard Force models need a minimum voltage before powering the display.
- 3. Inspect battery connection: Open the battery compartment and ensure the battery connector is firmly plugged in.
- 4. Test power switch: With a multimeter, check continuity across the main power switch when ON. Replace the switch if open.
- 5. Check internal fuse: Locate the PCB fuse (if fitted) and test continuity. Replace only with the same rating.
- 6. Replace battery or PCB: If the battery is good but the mower remains dead, the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
