Possible Causes
Worn blade motor bearings, Loose cutting disc, Debris trapped between disc and deck, Worn drive motor gearbox
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower, disconnect the battery, and wear gloves.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect cutting disc: Check that the disc is tight on the motor shaft. Tighten the mounting bolt to the specified torque.
- 2. Remove debris: Look for stones or branches rubbing against the disc or deck and remove them.
- 3. Spin components: Rotate the disc and wheels by hand. Roughness or grinding indicates bearing or gearbox wear.
- 4. Replace noisy parts: Replace the blade motor assembly if its bearings are noisy. Replace drive motor/gearbox units if wheel noise is excessive.
