Possible Causes

Disconnected blade motor plug, Failed blade motor, Seized blade disc, Main PCB not commanding blade due to sensor fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and disconnect the battery. Never test blade operation with the mower upside down.

Steps:

  • 1. Check for jams: Turn the mower over and ensure the blade disc spins freely by hand.
  • 2. Inspect motor wiring: Open the housing and verify the blade motor connector is firmly attached to the main PCB.
  • 3. Functional test: With the mower upright on a flat surface and blades enabled, listen for the blade motor starting. If silent, suspect motor or PCB.
  • 4. Measure motor: Disconnect the motor and measure its resistance. An open or very low reading indicates a faulty motor.
  • 5. Replace blade motor: Install a new Yard Force blade motor assembly if defective.
