Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the robot before touching the navigation sensor.
Steps (LDS models):
- Inspect LDS turret: On mapping Bagotte models, the round turret on top houses the laser. Ensure nothing is placed on top of it.
- Check for obstructions: Remove any dust, hair, or objects around the turret that could prevent rotation.
- Gently spin the turret: With the robot OFF, lightly rotate the turret. It should move smoothly without grinding.
- Clean the LDS window: Wipe the transparent ring or window with a soft, dry cloth.
Steps (camera models):
- Clean camera lens: Wipe the front or top camera lens gently with a microfiber cloth.
- Ensure good lighting: Test mapping in a normally lit room; very dark rooms can cause navigation errors.
If E15 persists: The LDS unit or navigation camera module may be defective or disconnected. Replacement of the navigation module or main board is required and is best done by a technician.
