Possible Causes
Dust bin full or clogged, HEPA filter heavily clogged, Suction inlet blocked, Fan (vacuum) motor overheating or failing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock.
Procedure:
- Remove and empty the dust bin: Make sure it is completely empty and the internal passages are clear.
- Clean or replace the filter: Remove the primary and HEPA filters from the bin. Tap them gently over a trash can to remove dust. If washable (check your Bagotte manual), rinse with water and let them dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. Severely clogged filters should be replaced.
- Check suction inlet: Look into the suction opening at the bottom of the robot and into the bin’s air channel. Remove any clogs (pet hair, paper, etc.).
- Inspect fan intake: If accessible, check the fan intake grill behind the bin area for dust buildup and clean with a soft brush.
- Allow cooling time: If the robot feels warm, let it cool for 30 minutes before restarting.
- Test suction: Reassemble the bin and filters, power ON, and start a cleaning cycle. Place your hand near the suction inlet to feel airflow.
- If E8 recurs or suction is very weak: The fan motor (vacuum motor) may be failing. Replace the Bagotte fan motor assembly according to your model’s service instructions.
