Possible Causes
One drive wheel slipping, Wheel encoder dirty or failing, Debris in wheel gearbox, Gyroscope miscalibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the robot.
Steps:
- Clean wheels: Remove debris from treads and wheel wells.
- Check wheel movement: Spin each wheel by hand; they should feel similar. A stiff or loose wheel indicates a problem with that drive wheel module.
- Reset sensors: Power OFF for 60 seconds, then ON. If your Bagotte app supports sensor calibration, run it.
- Test on flat floor: Run the robot in an open area and observe its path.
- If circling continues: Replace the drive wheel module on the side that appears slower or the main control board if both wheels are mechanically sound but control is erratic.
