Possible Causes

Hair wrapped around side brush shaft, Side brush hub cracked or stripped, Side brush motor failure, Corroded side brush connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and place it upside down.

  • 1. Remove side brush: Unscrew the side brush (usually a single Phillips screw) and pull it off the shaft.
  • 2. Clean the shaft: Remove hair and fibers from the motor shaft using tweezers. Wipe with a dry cloth.
  • 3. Inspect the brush hub: Check the plastic hub for cracks or rounding where it fits onto the shaft. Replace the side brush if damaged.
  • 4. Test motor: With the robot still upside down, turn it ON and start a cleaning cycle while carefully observing the bare side brush shaft. If it does not turn at all, the motor or its driver circuit may be faulty.
  • 5. Reinstall or replace brush: Fit a new Bosch‑compatible side brush if needed. If E06 persists with a good brush, schedule service for motor replacement.
