Possible Causes
Front bumper jammed by debris, Bumper spring mechanism misaligned, Dust in bumper infrared sensors, Faulty bumper switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before manipulating the bumper.
- 1. Check bumper movement: Gently press the front bumper in and release. It should move freely and spring back evenly across its width.
- 2. Remove debris: Look along the gap between the bumper and the body for small objects, cables, or dirt. Use compressed air or a soft brush to clear the gap.
- 3. Clean bumper sensors: If your Bosch model uses optical bumper sensors, wipe the dark plastic windows behind the bumper with a microfiber cloth.
- 4. Tap to release: Lightly tap along the bumper with your hand to free any internal sticking points.
- 5. Test operation: Power on the robot and start a cleaning cycle in an open area. If E07 recurs and the bumper feels loose or does not click, the internal switch or sensor board may need replacement by a technician.
