Possible Causes
Dirty or oxidized charging contacts, Weak contact spring on robot or dock, Faulty charging station power board, Internal charging circuit failure on robot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charging station from the mains before cleaning contacts. Do not use metal tools on live contacts.
- 1. Clean contacts: Wipe the metal contacts on both the robot and the dock with a dry microfiber cloth. For heavy oxidation, use a cloth lightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol, then dry thoroughly.
- 2. Check contact pressure: Gently press the robot’s spring‑loaded contacts to ensure they move freely and spring back. If they are stuck, carefully work them in and out while cleaning.
- 3. Verify dock power: Plug the dock back in and confirm its power LED is lit.
- 4. Align robot on dock: Place the robot manually on the dock, ensuring the front is firmly against the base and the contacts align.
- 5. If E15 remains and no charging occurs: Either the dock or the robot’s internal charging board may be faulty. Try another Bosch dock if available; otherwise, contact service for diagnosis and part replacement.
