Possible Causes
Partial blockage in suction channel, Filter installed incorrectly causing turbulence, Dust buildup on fan blades, Worn suction motor bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and remove the dust bin and brush before inspection.
- 1. Clean dust bin and filter: Empty the bin and clean or replace the filter as per Bosch guidelines.
- 2. Inspect suction channel: With the brush removed, look into the suction opening and channel. Remove any lodged debris using a flashlight and a blunt tool.
- 3. Check for loose parts: Ensure the dust bin and filter are seated correctly and that no plastic parts are rattling.
- 4. Test noise source: Run the robot briefly with the main brush removed. If the noise persists and comes from the fan area, the suction motor bearings may be worn.
- 5. If noise is metallic or grinding: Stop using the robot and have the suction motor assembly inspected and replaced by a technician to prevent further damage.
