Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot, remove it from the dock, and disconnect the battery if you plan to open the unit.
- Check for obvious jams: Ensure all brushes and wheels spin freely and are not obstructed.
- Smell for burning: If you detect a burnt smell from a specific area (wheel, brush, or fan), that motor may be shorted.
- Isolate by disconnecting: If you are experienced, open the bottom cover, disconnect one motor at a time from the main PCB, reconnect the battery, and power ON to see if E17 clears. This helps identify the faulty motor.
Because E17 indicates a potential electrical short, if you are not comfortable with electronics, stop and contact a professional technician.
