Coredy LDS / Laser or Optical Navigation Sensor Error (for models with top sensor turret or camera)

Robot vacuum shows E18 and cannot complete mapping or returns to dock prematurely (mapping models).

Possible Causes

Laser/camera window dirty, Turret blocked or stuck, Navigation sensor board failure

Safety first: Turn OFF the robot.

Clean navigation window: If your Coredy has a top turret or front camera window, wipe the transparent cover with a soft, dry cloth.
Check turret rotation: Gently try to rotate the turret (if applicable). It should move freely without grinding or sticking.
Remove obstructions: Ensure no decorative covers or stickers are blocking the sensor.

If E18 persists and the robot cannot build a map, the navigation sensor module may require replacement.
