Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock. Allow it to cool for 10–15 minutes if it feels warm.
- Remove main brush: Flip the robot over, open the main brush guard latch, and lift out the main roller brush.
- Clean brush thoroughly: Use the included cleaning tool or scissors to cut away hair, threads, and pet fur from the bristles and ends. Remove the end caps (if removable) and clear hair from the bearing areas.
- Clean brush housing: Vacuum or wipe out the brush chamber, especially near the drive gear side where debris can jam the mechanism.
- Inspect brush motor: Spin the brush motor gear (if visible) gently with your finger. It should turn smoothly without grinding noises.
- Reinstall and test: Refit the brush, close the guard securely, power ON, and start a cleaning cycle. Avoid thick rugs or long‑pile carpets during testing.
If E4 recurs quickly with a clean brush, the main brush motor or its driver circuit may be failing and require replacement.
