Possible Causes
Dirty charging contacts on robot or dock, Misaligned robot on dock, Faulty charging dock power supply, Damaged charging contact springs or main board charging circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the charging dock from the wall before cleaning contacts.
- Clean charging contacts: Use a dry cloth or lightly alcohol-dampened cotton swab to clean the metal contacts on both the robot and the dock. Ensure they are free of oxidation and dust.
- Check dock placement: Place the dock on a flat, hard surface against a wall. Avoid carpets that can tilt the dock.
- Verify power: Plug the dock into a known-good outlet. Confirm that the dock's indicator light (if present) is on.
- Align the robot: Manually place the robot onto the dock, ensuring both contacts touch firmly. Look for the charging icon in the app or on the robot.
- Inspect contact springs: Check that the robot's charging pins move freely and are not stuck or recessed.
- If still not charging: Test with another compatible Dreame dock if available. If the dock works but the robot does not charge, the charging contact module or main control board inside the robot may need replacement.
