Possible Causes
Aged lithium battery with reduced capacity, Over-discharged battery triggering BMS protection, Loose battery connector, Faulty battery pack BMS board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the robot and avoid shorting the battery terminals. Do not puncture or crush the battery.
- Full recharge: Place the robot on the dock and allow it to charge uninterrupted for at least 4–6 hours. Check if the error clears after a full charge.
- Check battery connection: Remove the bottom cover to access the battery compartment. Ensure the battery connector is firmly plugged into the main board and that there is no corrosion.
- Inspect battery pack: Look for swelling, leakage, or damage to the battery casing. If any is present, discontinue use immediately.
- Runtime test: After full charge, run the robot and note how long it operates before shutting down. If runtime is very short, the battery capacity is likely degraded.
- Replacement: Replace the lithium battery pack with a genuine or compatible Dreame battery of the same voltage and capacity. Dispose of the old battery according to local regulations.
