Possible Causes
Multiple motors starting under heavy load (brushes clogged), Blocked wheels or brush, Internal short in motor wiring, Failing main control board power stage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the robot and remove it from the dock.
- Reduce mechanical load: Thoroughly clean the main brush, side brush, and wheels. Remove all hair and debris that could increase resistance.
- Check for obstructions: Ensure there are no objects stuck in the suction inlet or brush housing.
- Restart sequence: Power off the robot for 2 minutes, then power it back on and start a cleaning cycle on a hard floor.
- Isolate the fault (advanced): If possible, disconnect one motor at a time (e.g., main brush motor, side brush motor) and test to see which one triggers the overcurrent when connected.
- Component replacement: Replace any motor that runs hot, smells burnt, or is difficult to turn by hand. If all motors are good, the main control board may have a failing power MOSFET and should be replaced.
