Possible Causes
Main brush tangled with hair or fabric, Debris jammed in brush bearings, Worn or seized main brush end caps, Faulty main brush motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Power off the robot and remove it from the dock before working on the brush.
- Remove the main brush: Open the brush guard latch on the underside. Lift out the main roller brush.
- Clean the brush thoroughly: Use the included cleaning tool or scissors to cut away hair and threads from the bristles and ends. Pay special attention to the ends where hair can form tight rings.
- Clean end caps and bearings: Pull off the end caps (if removable). Remove any hair or dust from the shafts and sockets. Wipe with a dry cloth.
- Inspect the brush cavity: Check the brush housing and suction channel for lodged debris (toys, stones, etc.) that could block rotation.
- Check motor function: With the brush removed, briefly power on and start cleaning. Look into the brush bay to see if the drive spindle rotates. If it does not move or makes grinding noises, the main brush motor assembly may be faulty.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall the brush and guard, ensuring correct orientation. Clear the error and test again.
- If still failing: Replace the main brush roller and, if needed, the main brush motor module compatible with your Dreame model.
