How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the robot and remove the dustbin before inspection.
- Replace or clean filters: Remove the HEPA and pre-filters from the dustbin. If they are heavily soiled or older than recommended, replace them with genuine Dreame filters.
- Check for obstructions: Look into the suction inlet and fan intake for small objects (screws, stones, plastic pieces). Remove carefully with tweezers.
- Listen for abnormal noise: With the dustbin removed, briefly power on and start cleaning. If the fan makes grinding or rattling sounds, the impeller or bearings may be damaged.
- Internal inspection (advanced): Open the housing to access the suction fan module. Inspect the impeller for cracks, melted plastic, or foreign objects.
- Replacement: If the fan is damaged or draws excessive current, replace the suction fan motor assembly with a Dreame-compatible unit.
