Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before further use.
- Check ambient temperature: Ensure the room is below 30–35°C (86–95°F). Do not operate the robot in very hot or enclosed spaces.
- Clean filters and bin: Empty the bin and clean the pre‑motor filter as per Dyson instructions. Blocked filters cause the motor to overheat.
- Inspect vents: Check all cooling vents on the robot body for dust buildup. Gently vacuum the vents with another vacuum cleaner.
- Short test run: After cooling and cleaning, run the robot for 5–10 minutes and monitor. If F10 reappears quickly, the temperature sensor or motor may be faulty.
Do not bypass thermal sensors. If overheating persists, the suction motor assembly or main PCB should be inspected and replaced if necessary.
