Dyson
Reduced battery capacity / short runtime
Robot vacuum returns to dock after only a few minutes of cleaning; runtime is significantly reduced compared to normal.

Possible Causes
Aged lithium‑ion cells, Frequent partial charging cycles, High‑resistance battery contacts, Internal battery pack imbalance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not use or charge a battery that is swollen, leaking, or excessively hot.
- Calibrate battery gauge: Fully charge the robot, then run it until it stops on its own. Recharge fully again. This can recalibrate the battery indicator on some models.
- Clean contacts: Wipe the charging contacts on the robot and dock with a dry cloth.
- Replace battery: If runtime remains short (e.g., less than 10–15 minutes) after calibration, replace the battery pack with a genuine Dyson replacement.
Battery packs naturally lose capacity over time; replacement is a normal maintenance item.
