Possible Causes
Debris jammed behind front bumper, Bumper springs misaligned, Bumper switch stuck, Bumper sensor cable loose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF.
- Check bumper movement: Gently press the front bumper in and release. It should move freely and spring back evenly across its length.
- Clear debris: Use compressed air and a thin brush to clean the gap between the bumper and the body. Remove any lodged objects (wires, toys, dirt).
- Tap to free switches: Lightly tap along the bumper to free any stuck micro-switches.
- Power reset: Turn the robot back on and test in an open area.
If C7 persists: The internal bumper switch board or its wiring may be damaged. Disassembly is required to inspect and possibly replace the bumper sensor board.
