Possible Causes

Cliff sensors interpreting dark colors as drop-offs, High sensor sensitivity, Strong ambient light contrast

Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before handling.

Clean cliff sensors: Wipe all underside cliff sensor windows.
Adjust environment: If possible, move very dark rugs or use virtual boundaries to exclude them.
Firmware update: Check the Ecovacs app for firmware updates that may improve sensor handling.

This is a design limitation on many robot vacuums; hardware replacement will not usually resolve it.
