Possible Causes

Dirty or oxidized charging contacts on robot or base, Misaligned charging base, Faulty charging contact springs, Defective charging circuit on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the charging base from the wall before cleaning contacts.

Step-by-step:

  • Clean charging contacts: Use a dry cloth or lightly dampened alcohol wipe to clean the two metal charging pads on the robot and the two contacts on the base. Dry thoroughly.
  • Check spring tension: On the robot, gently press the charging contacts to ensure they move freely and spring back. If stuck, clean around them carefully.
  • Verify base placement: Place the base against a wall on a hard, flat surface with at least 1 meter of clearance in front. Ensure the power adapter is firmly plugged in and the base LED is on.
  • Test docking: Manually place the robot on the base so the contacts align. Confirm that the charging indicator on the robot lights up and the app (if applicable) shows charging.
  • Advanced repair: If the robot will not charge even with clean contacts, open the robot to inspect the charging contact board and wiring to the main PCB. Replace the charging contact module or main control board if damaged.

When to stop: If you suspect internal electrical damage or the base itself is faulty, consider replacing the charging base or contacting support.
