Possible Causes
Front bumper stuck or misaligned, Bumper spring or switch jammed with debris, Infrared obstacle sensors dirty, Bumper sensor harness loose or damaged
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power off the robot.
- Check bumper movement: Gently press the front bumper in and release. It should move freely and spring back without sticking.
- Clear debris: Look for dust, hair, or objects wedged between the bumper and the body. Remove them carefully.
- Clean obstacle sensors: Wipe the front IR sensor windows with a soft, dry cloth.
- Test bumper switches (advanced): With the bottom cover removed, inspect the bumper switch board or contact sensors. Ensure the harness is firmly connected and no components are broken.
- If E6 remains: Replace the Front Bumper Sensor Assembly or Obstacle Sensor Board as specified for your Eureka model.
