Possible Causes
Dustbin not fully seated, Broken dustbin latch, Faulty bin detection microswitch, Bent bin sensor lever
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before inspecting the bin area.
Steps to try:
- 1. Remove and reinstall dustbin: Pull the bin out completely and push it back in firmly until it clicks.
- 2. Inspect bin latch: Check that the plastic latch on the bin is not broken or deformed.
- 3. Clean bin contacts/switch: If your model uses electrical contacts, wipe them with a dry cloth. For mechanical switches, look for a small lever that is pressed by the bin and ensure it moves freely.
- 4. Test without debris: Try operating the robot with an empty, clean bin to rule out misalignment from overfilling.
- 5. Replace switch or bin: If the robot still reports E13, the bin presence switch or the dustbin itself may need replacement.
