Possible Causes
Dirty charging contacts, Faulty charging dock power supply, Damaged dock PCB, Failed charging circuit on robot main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dock from the wall before cleaning contacts.
Steps to try:
- 1. Clean contacts: Wipe the dock rails and robot charging pads with a dry cloth. Remove any oxidation with a soft eraser, then wipe again.
- 2. Verify power adapter: Plug the dock directly into a known‑good outlet. Confirm the dock indicator LED is lit. If not, test with a compatible Gorenje power adapter.
- 3. Check docking alignment: Manually place the robot on the dock and ensure both contacts touch firmly. Look for warped plastic or misalignment.
- 4. Observe charging behavior: If the dock LED blinks or the robot repeatedly connects/disconnects, the dock PCB or robot charging circuit may be faulty.
- 5. Replace dock or main board: Try another Gorenje dock if available. If the issue follows the robot, the internal charging circuit on the main PCB likely needs replacement.
