Possible Causes
Filter not seated properly, Wrong type of filter installed, Faulty airflow sensor, Broken filter latch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove the dustbin.
Steps to try:
- 1. Check filter installation: Ensure the HEPA filter is oriented correctly and fully inserted into its frame or slot.
- 2. Use genuine filter: Install a Gorenje‑approved filter. Non‑original filters may not engage the sensor correctly.
- 3. Inspect filter frame: Look for cracks or missing tabs that might prevent the filter from pressing the sensor.
- 4. Test operation: Reinstall the bin and start a cleaning cycle. If E16 persists, the airflow or filter presence sensor may be defective.
- 5. Replace sensor or bin assembly: Depending on design, replace the dustbin assembly (with integrated sensor) or the airflow sensor board.
