Possible Causes
Hair or debris wrapped around left wheel, Jammed left wheel gearbox, Faulty left wheel motor encoder, Damaged left wheel harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and remove it from the dock before working on the wheels.
Steps to try:
- 1. Inspect the left wheel: Flip the robot over on a soft surface. Manually rotate the left drive wheel. It should turn smoothly with some resistance. If it feels stuck, proceed to cleaning.
- 2. Remove debris: Use tweezers or small scissors to cut and pull out hair, threads, or carpet fibers wrapped around the wheel hub and axle. Check the wheel well for lodged objects.
- 3. Clean wheel cavity: Use a small brush or compressed air to remove dust from the wheel cavity and around the suspension spring.
- 4. Test movement: With the robot still upside down and powered ON, carefully start a cleaning cycle and observe if the left wheel now spins. Immediately power OFF after confirming movement.
- 5. Inspect wiring (advanced): If comfortable, remove the bottom cover to access the left wheel module. Check the 2–4 wire connector from the wheel module to the main PCB for looseness or damage.
- 6. Replace wheel module: If the wheel still does not move or E2 persists, the left drive wheel module (motor + gearbox + encoder) is likely defective and should be replaced with a Gorenje‑compatible left wheel assembly.
