Possible Causes
Dirty front IR receiver window, Misaligned front bumper sensor, Faulty IR receiver board, Interference from strong sunlight
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep the robot on the floor while testing to avoid drops.
Steps to try:
- 1. Clean front sensors: Wipe the front bumper and any dark plastic windows with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.
- 2. Check dock placement: Ensure the Gorenje dock is on a flat surface with at least 0.5 m clearance on each side and 1.5 m in front. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or under strong lighting that can interfere with IR signals.
- 3. Re‑dock manually: Place the robot about 0.5 m in front of the dock, facing it, and press the Home/Dock button. Observe if it approaches and aligns correctly.
- 4. Inspect bumper movement: Gently press the front bumper; it should move freely and spring back. If stuck, clean around the bumper edges.
- 5. Internal check (advanced): If the robot consistently fails to see the dock, the IR receiver board or its cable may be faulty and require replacement.
