Possible Causes
Clogged dustbin or air duct, Blocked HEPA filter, Foreign object in fan housing, Burned‑out suction motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and remove the dustbin before inspecting the suction path.
Steps to try:
- 1. Empty dustbin: Remove and empty the dustbin. Tap it gently to dislodge fine dust.
- 2. Clean or replace filter: Remove the primary and HEPA filters. Tap them gently outdoors to remove dust. If heavily clogged or older than 3–6 months, replace with Gorenje‑approved filters.
- 3. Check suction inlet: Inspect the suction opening behind the brush and inside the dustbin compartment for blockages (paper, toys, etc.). Remove any obstructions.
- 4. Inspect air channels: Use a flashlight to look into the air duct leading to the fan. If you see debris, carefully remove it with a flexible brush.
- 5. Test suction: Reinstall the bin and filters, power ON, and start a cleaning cycle. Listen for the fan. If it does not spin or E8 returns, the fan motor may be defective.
- 6. Replace suction module: Replacing the suction fan assembly (motor + housing) is usually required if the motor is burned out or noisy.
