Possible Causes
Aged Li‑ion cells with reduced capacity, Battery not fully charging, High internal resistance in battery pack, Frequent partial charge cycles
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock before opening any covers.
Steps to try:
- 1. Perform 2–3 full charge/discharge cycles: Fully charge the robot, then run it until it stops. Repeat to help the BMS recalibrate.
- 2. Check charging time: If the robot shows full charge after a very short time on the dock, the battery capacity is likely reduced.
- 3. Inspect battery (if accessible): Remove the battery cover and check for swelling or deformation of the pack. Do not puncture or compress the battery.
- 4. Replace battery pack: Install a new, original Gorenje Li‑ion battery pack with the same voltage and connector type.
- 5. Dispose of old battery properly: Take the old pack to an authorized battery recycling point; do not throw it in household waste.
