Possible Causes
LiDAR turret blocked by dust or objects, LiDAR motor jammed, LiDAR ribbon cable loose, LiDAR laser module failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and keep liquids away from the LiDAR window.
- Inspect LiDAR turret: On LiDAR-equipped Honiture models, check the rotating turret on top. Ensure nothing is resting on it and that it can spin freely.
- Clean LiDAR window: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the transparent LiDAR window. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Spin test: Gently rotate the turret by hand. It should move smoothly without grinding. If it is stuck, there may be internal debris.
- Power-on test: Turn the robot ON and start a cleaning cycle. Watch to see if the turret begins to spin. If it does not move or makes clicking noises, the LiDAR Module may be failing.
- Advanced replacement: Remove the top cover, disconnect the LiDAR ribbon cable from the main PCB, unscrew the LiDAR unit, and install a compatible LiDAR / LDS Module.
