Possible Causes
Dirty charging contacts on robot, Dirty contacts on Hoover charging base, Misaligned robot on dock, Faulty charging PCB or dock power supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charging base from the wall before cleaning contacts.
- Clean robot contacts: Use a dry cloth or lightly dampened cotton swab to clean the metal charging pads on the rear or underside of the robot.
- Clean dock contacts: Wipe the metal contacts on the Hoover charging base. Ensure they move freely if spring-loaded.
- Check dock placement: Place the dock against a wall on a hard, flat surface with at least 0.5 m clearance on each side.
- Reconnect power: Plug the dock back in and confirm the power indicator is lit.
- Align robot: Manually place the robot on the dock so that the contacts touch firmly. Look for the charging icon or LED on the robot.
- If E10 remains: Try a different wall outlet. If still unresolved, the charging base or the robot's internal charging PCB may be defective and require replacement.
