Possible Causes
Robot hung on threshold or cable, One wheel lifted by trapped debris, Faulty tilt or lift sensor, Misreading from wheel drop sensors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before freeing it.
- Check surroundings: If the robot is on a threshold, cable, or thick rug edge, lift it and place it on a flat, hard floor.
- Inspect wheels: Flip the robot over and ensure both drive wheels move up and down freely and are not blocked by debris.
- Clean wheel wells: Remove any lodged objects or hair around the wheel suspension.
- Restart cleaning: Turn the robot ON and start a cleaning cycle on a clear, level area.
- If E8 appears on level ground: The internal tilt or wheel drop sensor may be faulty. Replacement of the IMU / tilt sensor board or wheel drop switches may be required by a technician.
