Possible Causes
Clogged air duct or inlet, Dustbin filter completely blocked, Foreign object in suction fan, Failed suction motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove the dustbin.
- Empty dustbin: Open the Hoover dustbin and empty all debris.
- Clean or replace filter: Remove the HEPA or foam filter from the bin. Tap it gently over a bin to remove dust. If heavily clogged or damaged, replace with a new Hoover robot vacuum filter.
- Check suction inlet: Look into the suction opening behind the main brush area. Remove any visible clogs using a long brush or vacuum.
- Inspect fan intake: With the bin removed, locate the fan intake port and ensure it is clear of debris.
- Test suction: Reinstall the bin, power ON, and start cleaning. Listen for the fan motor; it should run smoothly without rattling.
- If E9 persists or fan is silent: The suction motor may be burned out or obstructed internally. Replacing the suction fan motor assembly requires disassembling the upper housing and should be done by a qualified technician.
