Possible Causes
Dock placed in poor location, IR signal blocked, Mapping data corrupted, Faulty dock IR transmitter or robot receiver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal work is required initially.
- Reposition dock: Place the Hoover charging base in an open area away from corners, stairs, and direct sunlight.
- Clean IR windows: Wipe the IR windows on both dock and robot.
- Remap home (if supported): Delete the existing map in the app and allow the robot to create a new map from a full cleaning run.
- Reduce obstacles: Clear clutter near the dock so the robot has a clear path.
- If problem persists: The dock or robot IR hardware may be faulty. Try a replacement charging base or have the robot's front IR receiver board checked.
