Possible Causes
Debris in main brush bearings, Foreign object in suction fan, Worn main brush end caps, Loose screws on bottom plate or motor mounts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock.
- Remove main brush: Open the brush guard and take out the Hoover main roller brush. Run the robot briefly without the brush to see if the noise disappears.
- Clean brush ends: Remove hair and debris from the brush ends and end caps. Replace the brush if the bearings are rough or noisy.
- Check bottom screws: Tighten any loose screws on the bottom cover and around the brush housing.
- Fan noise check: If the noise persists without the brush, the suction fan may have debris inside or failing bearings. This requires opening the housing and possibly replacing the suction fan motor assembly.
