Possible Causes
Broken main brush belt or gear (on belt‑driven models), Seized brush bearings, Failed main brush motor, Disconnected motor harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove the dustbin.
- Remove and inspect brush: Take out the main brush and check that it spins freely. Replace if seized.
- Check drive mechanism: On some Hoover models, a belt or gear train drives the brush. Inspect for broken or slipped belts/gears.
- Run without brush: Start a cleaning cycle briefly with the brush removed and look at the drive socket to see if it turns.
- Replace components: If the socket does not turn, replace the main brush motor assembly. If the motor turns but the brush does not, replace the main roller brush or belt/gear set.
