Possible Causes

One drive wheel motor weak, Wheel encoder dirty, Tire worn or loose, Debris in one wheel well

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before inspecting the wheels.

  • 1. Compare wheel resistance: Turn the robot over and rotate each drive wheel by hand. They should feel similar in resistance.
  • 2. Clean wheel wells: Remove hair and debris from around both wheels and axles.
  • 3. Inspect tires: Check for uneven wear or loose rubber on one wheel. Replace the iHome drive wheel or tire if damaged.
  • 4. Internal encoder cleaning (advanced): Open the bottom cover and gently blow compressed air into the encoder area of the affected wheel module.
  • 5. Replace wheel module: If the robot still veers and the wheel feels weak, replace the affected drive wheel module.
