Possible Causes
Very dark or reflective flooring, Strong sunlight on sensors, Magnetic strips or metal underfloor, Cliff sensors misreading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal access is required.
- 1. Observe floor type: Note if the avoided areas are very dark, glossy, or patterned. Some sensors misinterpret these as drop‑offs.
- 2. Adjust lighting: Reduce direct sunlight or strong reflections in the problem area and test again.
- 3. Clean cliff sensors: Wipe the underside cliff sensors with a soft cloth.
- 4. Use app tools: If your model supports it, adjust virtual boundaries to guide the robot differently or manually clean those areas.
