Possible Causes
Dust bin overfilled, HEPA filter clogged, Suction inlet partially blocked, Vacuum fan blades coated with dust
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock before cleaning.
- 1. Empty dust bin: Remove the dust bin and empty all contents. Tap it gently to dislodge compacted dust.
- 2. Clean or replace filter: Remove the HEPA or foam filter. Tap it against a trash can to remove dust. If the filter is heavily soiled or damaged, replace it with a genuine iHome dust bin filter.
- 3. Check suction inlet: Inspect the opening between the main brush area and the dust bin for clumps of debris. Remove any obstructions.
- 4. Inspect exhaust vents: Ensure the exhaust vents are not blocked by dust buildup.
- 5. Test suction: Reinstall the bin and filter, power ON the robot, and feel for airflow at the exhaust. If suction is still weak, the vacuum fan motor assembly may be worn and require replacement.
