ILIFE
Dustbin Not Detected / Dustbin Switch Error
Robot shows E11 and stops with dustbin installed, suction may not start
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Dustbin not fully seated, Dustbin detection switch stuck, Dustbin plastic tab broken, Dustbin sensor wiring loose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before removing the dustbin.
Step-by-step:
- Remove and inspect dustbin: Check for cracks or broken locking tabs that might prevent full insertion.
- Clean bin cavity: Use a dry cloth or small brush to remove dust from the dustbin slot and around the detection switch.
- Locate detection switch: Look for a small plastic lever or micro‑switch inside the dustbin bay. Gently press it to ensure it moves freely.
- Reinsert dustbin: Slide the bin straight in until it clicks. Do not leave it partially out.
- Test operation: Turn the robot ON and start a cleaning cycle. Confirm that suction starts and E11 does not appear.
If E11 persists with a good dustbin: The dustbin detection switch or its wiring harness may be defective and require replacement.
