Possible Causes

Main brush end bearings seized, Foreign object lodged in brush housing, Main brush motor gearbox worn, Brush motor wiring damaged

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and flip it over.

Step-by-step:

  • Remove main brush and guard: Open the brush cover and lift out the brush.
  • Inspect brush cavity: Look for small toys, stones, or hard debris lodged near the motor side of the brush channel. Remove carefully.
  • Check brush end caps: Rotate the end caps by hand. If they feel rough or stuck, clean or replace the brush.
  • Test motor shaft: With the brush removed, briefly power ON and start cleaning. Look into the brush cavity to see if the motor drive shaft spins. Turn OFF immediately after checking.
  • Reassemble: If the shaft spins freely, reinstall a cleaned or new brush and test again.

If E17 persists and the shaft does not spin: The main brush motor or its driver circuit is likely faulty and needs replacement.
