Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and place it upside down on a soft surface.
Step-by-step:
- Inspect the right wheel: Rotate the right drive wheel by hand. Compare resistance to the left wheel. Any stiffness or grinding indicates debris or damage.
- Remove obstructions: Carefully cut away hair and fibers from the axle and wheel cavity using small scissors or tweezers.
- Check vertical movement: Press the wheel up into the body and release. It should move freely. Clean around the suspension pivot if it sticks.
- Clean tire surface: Wipe the rubber tire with a damp cloth to restore traction.
- Test operation: Power the robot ON and start a cleaning cycle on a flat surface. Watch if the right wheel turns consistently.
If E4 persists: The right wheel motor or internal gearbox is likely failing. Replacement of the right wheel motor assembly is recommended; this involves opening the bottom cover and unplugging the motor harness from the main control board.
