Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove the dustbin. If it is a hybrid mop model, remove the water tank as well.
Step-by-step:
- Remove the main brush: Open the brush guard on the underside and lift out the main roller brush.
- Clean the brush thoroughly: Cut away hair and threads from the bristles and ends. Remove the end caps (if removable) and clear hair from the bearings.
- Inspect brush housing: Check the brush channel for blockages (dust clumps, paper, pet hair). Vacuum or wipe out debris.
- Check suction inlet: Look into the suction opening leading to the dustbin. Remove any clogs with a small brush or your fingers.
- Clean dustbin filter: Remove the HEPA/primary filter from the dustbin. Tap gently to remove dust or rinse if the manual allows, then dry completely before reinstalling.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the brush, close the guard, reinstall the dustbin, and power ON. Start a cleaning cycle and listen for normal suction sound.
If E5 returns: The suction motor or brush drive motor may be overheating or failing. Continued use can cause further damage; motor replacement or professional service is advised.
